Alexander Mak is currently a photo editor for the South China Morning Post, overseeing printed and online publications such as Style, PostMag and 100 Top Tables. 

 

Mak has a rich background in journalism, as well as experience in in-house public relations management. From 2019 Hong Kong social unrest and Taiwan elections, to most recently the surge of refugees from the outbreak of Ukraine-Russia War and the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Mak’s work has been widely recognised and published across various international media outlets, including CNN, CNBC, The Times, The Guardian and People’s Daily etc.

 

Mak completed his master’s degree of International Politics at SOAS University of London in 2022 and bachelor’s degree of Journalism at Hong Kong Shue Yan University in 2017. In his spare time, Mak is a life adventurer who often embarks on journeys to mountains, seas or even uncharted waters.
